Hanging with Mr. Newt
You just never know who you will run into these days. I was in the Basilica when I spotted a familiar head of white hair — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich!
It turned out his wife was singing in one of the choirs performing in the Crypt Church. It turns out she had a better seat than he did.
He thought the pope delivered a great speech to U.S. bishops and he believes the greatest threat facing the church — secularism.
