Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish? Si

Some war veterans in Edgertown, Wisconsin are up in arms. The local high school recently allowed students to recite the pledge in Spanish.

One Vietnam veteran says the pledge should only be recited in English — since this is the United States.

The school is defending the practice saying it’s an annual tradition.

But Mr. Decker believes reciting the pledge in another nation’s language is not only wrong, it’s unpatriotic.

I feel as if allowing children or anyone to say the Pledge of allegiance in any language but the English language is disrespectful to all those who have given their lives for this United States, if you cannot say it or refuse to say it in the language for that it was written then don't say it, or just go to another country of your choice, I am tired of people not wanting to learn the language of the country to which they chose to live, my grandparents game from Portugal as teenagers but learned the language and ways of the country to which they chose to live. I wish the United States would stop making it easy for these people to continue to not learn the language of this country.
