Let Us Pray

We live in the greatest nation on Earth. I believe God has blessed these United States because we stand for freedom and justice for all — and because we recognize that all good things come from above. I hope you will gather together with friends and family today and pray for our nation on this National Day of Prayer.

I know it may seem politically incorrect to acknowledge God or to even pray in public — but it only seems that way.

This land was birthed in prayer and in reverence for Almighty God. That’s why President Truman declared the first Thursday of May as an annual day of prayer — inviting people of all faiths to pray for the land of the free — the home of the brave.

May God continue to pour out his blessings on the United States of America!

Hi there…I had to leave a comment on this. I work at a school in Desoto County, Mississippi. We had our National Day of Prayer afterschool. I have never been more blessed seeing children, teenagers, and staff standing together and praying for our country and our schools. It was great!! My son serves in the army and is currently on tour in Iraq. Thank you for your great stories!!!
