Senator Barack Obama told Bernie Mac to clean up his act.

The comedian was invited to open for Obama during a Friday night fundraiser. Mac told some pretty off-color jokes about menopause, sex, and women who ply their trade on street corners.

Obama’s backers weren’t laughing.

The Associated Press reported that the act became so crude that people in the audience started heckling the comedian.

Obama was forced to take the stage and smooth things over with a joke of his own — telling Mac the gig was a family affair.
