It’s Chic to Be Geek
I’m taking a detour on the road to the White House. I’m on my way to San Diego for the annual Comic-Con. It’s the nation’s biggest pop culture convention. I’ll be spending the next four days hanging out with comic book buffs, sci-fi fans, and gamers. It’s the Super Bowl for Geeks and I’m expecting to have a total blast.
I arrive in San Diego on Tuesday and will be live blogging throughout the day. On Wednesday, I’m going to give you a sneak preview of what to expect before Comic-Con opens to the general public.
More than 100,000 people will be parading around and most will be in costume — Klingons, storm troopers, Spiderman — you get the idea. And there has been some talk in the newsroom that I should file my reports in costume. I’ll be taking suggestions through the day.
So, friends, may the force be with you, live long and prosper, up, up and away — well — you get the idea. Later.
