Woman Has Obama Vision

21 October 2008 3 Comments Download My Toolbar!

A Florida woman claims she’s had a vision from Senator Barack Obama. Phoenix Dott, of West Palm Beach, said the miraculous moment happened while she was sleeping.

“This sounds weird but I had a dream. Barack Obama came to me in my dream and I knew he was going to be the president. I know it sounds crazy but that’s what it is. I jumped on the band wagon.”

As a result of her nighttime encounter, Ms. Dott, 32, said she is going to vote in her first presidential election. It will be her “first time voting, registering, the whole nine.”

She decided to get registered because “I feel like something different is about to happen and I feel like my vote is going to count this time.”

That’s probably because she’s actually registered to vote.

Ok, stop. This is too much. First, she’s seeing things in her sleep, jumping on band wagons and then going the whole nine? What happened to the yards? That’s the problem with this entire election this time; people running on feelings. I was reading in Time Magazine where people were so upset last month with President BUSH because of the high gas prices, that they were seriously going to vote for Obama. Because of the high gas prices, which are now back where they were before.

That’s what’s wrong with this whole mess. People FEELING like there’s easy fixes to hard problems; and a quick smile and and easy words are going to make it all better.

News flash. I have a good job and good insurance. I spent all morning in the doctor’s office for quick script for an antibiotic. I don’t really have much choice in who I’ll see; and the doctors I can choose from are limited by my “Plan.” I sit right next to those with medicare and no insurance and wait my turn. My neighbors are in overvalued homes that won’t sell and mortgage payments are sky high. Washington wants more and some people play around all day and refuse to work at low paying jobs, waiting for the opportunity to find “better” jobs. We are in a mess, but it’s gonna take more than a “vision” to fix this one.

I wonder if this woman has even considered Obama’s platform? I hope she’s familiar with his policies and records. I can’t imagine voting for the president of the United States based upon a dream I had. This woman truly is an anomaly

Does anyone else find that it seems people are working to turn Obama into some kind of deity? I haven't heard of anyone that does visitation for political gain before!
