They Popped My Hood and Found Gravy on the DipstickFox News Radio’s Todd Starnes is releasing his first book, “They Popped My Hood and Found Gravy on the Dipstick.” The book is being published by Pathway Press.

It tells the story of Todd’s personal journey from a 300-pound guy wtih a bad heart to a 150-pound guy who ran the New York City Marathon. He shares his story through a series of humorous and inspirational essays that begins on the day he was diagnosed with a near-fatal heart condition.

Starnes’ debut book is drawn from a journal he kept to document his surgery, recovery and ultimately his weight loss.  Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee penned the forward to Starnes’ book.

“Todd’s stories will make you laugh, touch your heart, and encourage you to take steps towards living a better life,” Huckabee said. “This book fits the prescription for whatever ails you. Laughter really is the best medicine. When we find ourselves at our weakest point that is when our true strength is revealed. I hope you will be impressed after reading this book. I know I was.”
