Child Endangerment? Or Attempted Murder?

It’s insane what some people do for fun.

Take this Merced County, California woman who ordered her 70-pound pit bull to attack her 13-year-old nephew.

Get it?? It’s a joke, son, you’re supposed to LAUGH! HAHAHA.

Only it’s NOT FUNNY. It’s CRIMINAL.

Melissa Marcrum was apparently drunk on Super Bowl Sunday (so SHE’S the one) and knew full well her nephew was scared to death of her dog, Kane.

That didn’t stop her from having the dog chase the poor kid around the house, even forcing him out of a bedroom window to escape.

Then, later in the day, she told the dog to “sic” ‘em. And the dog DID. The nephew was sent to the hospital and remained there with serious injuries.

Marcrum’s mother and the boy’s grandmother, Isabel Bingle, claims her daughter didn’t mean to hurt the boy. But the bloodshed was so intense, she had to run out of the room because it horrified her so much.

Kane the dog apparently had bitten other people before. But hey, at least they didn’t have to go to the hospital. Makes it all OK, I guess! The dog is being quarantined and could be put down. Don’t even get me started on that point. Many of you already know my feelings about pit bulls.

Marcrum faces child endangerment charges. I think she should face attempted murder charges. She KNEW the dog was aggressive. She KNEW it had attacked others before. This dog was the equivalent in my opinion of a loaded weapon. And she chose to point it right at her nephew.

I hope they throw away the key. On the woman AND her dog.
