OBAMA LOSES THE BIG ONE!
On the health care front, Barack Obama’s public option is dead. The president has lost and the White House, unaccustomed to losing anything, is trying to cover up the fact that Obama has been defeated by the American people. It wasn’t Republicans… it was the American people who rose up and said very loudly … NO!.
Just so the President got the message, Senator Kent Conrad… a Cemocrat… on Fox News Sunday said it’s now a wasted effort.
Obama said in June, “We must have a public option.” In July, he said “Any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange… a one stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of varity of plans… including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest.
Well that’s gone… now he’s saying he public option is just a teeny teeny teeny part of his health plan…just a sliver of his health care plan… well, maybe he thinks that… but I don’t.
This is a defeat for Obama. That’s new for him. He’s grown accustomed to hypnotizing the American people, dazzling them with his footwork… and now it turns out he’s just an over reacher who reads the teleprompter well enough to get a job in msnbc’s prime time. And that’s it.
Reality comes to Washington. And not a moment too soon.
