It’s a long-awaited comeback for Whitney Houston kicking off this week’s FOXLight Music Release roundup. I Look To You brings Whitney into the present with help from Akon and Alicia Keys.

John Fogerty returns to an idea he started in 1973 with The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again. Back then, Fogerty was the Blue Ridge Rangers, playing countrified classics all by himself. This time out he enlists a real band, and help from Don Henley and Bruce Springsteen.

Before The Frost…
is the latest from the Black Crowes, and included is a download code that’ll unlock a second album, …Until The Freeze, as a thank you to their fans.

Here Comes Science is the fourth children’s album from They Might Be Giants.

Also out this week…

Modern rockers Chevelle return with Sci-Fi Crimes.

Artwork is the latest from The Used.

Actress-turned-rockstress Juliette Lewis drops her band The Licks for the solo Terra Incognita, produced by the Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.

Trey Songz is Ready. At least that’s the title of his new album, which features guest spots from Drake and Soulja Boy Tell’Em.

Chris Young is the 2006 winner of country talent show “Nashville Star”, and his second album is called The Man I Want To Be.

Rod Stewart’s The Definitive Collection: 1969-1978 collects 16 tracks from that era, from “Maggie May” through “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”

Motown 50: The Fanthology
is the result of an online voting poll held in conjunction with the Peoples’ Choice Awards. It’s 2 CDs and 45 tracks of Prime Motown, from Marvin Gaye to Boyz II Men.

#1 Hits Explosion is the ironically titled 16 track best-of from the Apples In Stereo.

The Fine Print: A Collection of Oddities and Rarities
is an anti-best-of from Drive-By Truckers.

And Alice Cooper’s Killer and The Pretenders’ self-titled debut each get 24K gold CD remasters from golden-ear mastering engineer Steve Hoffman.

And if you have golden ears, you can fill them up with the FOXLight Podcast, available for download at http://feeds.foxnewsradio.com/thefoxlight, or click on the player at the top of this post!
