RACISM ON PARADE!!!
The African American mayor of Baltimore might be convicted of a felony, which would require her to vacate the mayor’s seat.
The line of succession seems to assure that a black person from the city council would assume the role of mayor but the NAACP in Baltimore is taking no chances. It wants the succession procedures to be clarified so that it is not possible that someone would ascend to the mayor’s office who is…. White.
Seriously. In this day and age. The president of the Baltimore chapter of the NAACP worries what a governor might do in filling the vacated mayor’s spot. “What if the governor appointed somebody white,” asked Marvin Cheatham of the NAACP. “Would he appoint someone Irish?”
Well, I don’t mind saying… holy crap! This is racism pure and simple… racism directed against white and Irish by a powerful black politician. And worse… it gets a pass.
Why is it racism against blacks by whites is to be condemned in the strongest possible terms… but not when it’s the situation in rreverse?
