The new supergroup hitting the radiowaves is Them Crooked Vultures. The rock band features drummer David Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters, guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme from Queens of the Stoneage, and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones from Led Zepplin.  The first single from the all-star group is “New Fang” and it was released today, making them the hot twoppic of the moment. The band has been getting great reviews – their album is out on November 17th.

@ryan_batty tweets to radio station @sonic1029 New Fang by Them Crooked Vultures is just unreal good. Keep that one in high rotation.

The hot twoppic of the day is the World Series. Sunday night, in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series, the New York Yankees defeated the Angels to advance to the World Series.  Next week they will face off against last year’s World Series champs, the Philadelphia Phillies. You can catch the first game of the World Series Wednesday night, on FOX.

The hot twoppic of the week is the weekend box office. The results are in, and scary movie “Paranormal Activity” cinched the top spot, taking in $22 million.  It cost only $15,000 to make and has grossed $62.5 million to date. Paramount is said to be gearing up for the Halloween weekend – hoping the film will cross the $100 million threshold. May there be a sequel in the future? Coming in second, Saw VI underwhelmed on its opening weekend, taking in a disappointing $14.8 million.

This is TheKateMalloy, and those are your hot twoppics, on FOX News Radio.
