Motivational Monday: Be a Master of Time

Trust me. I know how hard it can be to get everything done that you want or need to get done in a day’s time.

With six kids, sometimes it’s hard to imagine how we make everything from coming and going from school, guitar lessons, basketball and baseball games, and other activities  fit into an already chaotic schedule of work and running around.

But somehow, most of the time, it works.

One of the easiest excuses in life is that we just don’t have enough time in a day.

Well, you might be able to use that as an excuse if it weren’t for the fact that radios and automobiles, sailing vessels and rocket ships were all designed by men who had the exact same amount of time as you and I do.

Diseases have been cured. New worlds are discovered still. Achievements are earned and won and celebrated.

These great achievers learned to MASTER their time, instead of letting themselves be mastered by time.

Time is your friend. It really is. When you think of all the time we spend just kind of not doing much, we realize just how much we have if it harnessed it.

Even after factoring time for work, sleep, eating, and bathroom breaks…we have a huge chunk of time. If you just woke up an hour earlier each day, you would have over the course of a year the equivalent of NINE 40 hour work weeks!!

Think about that one for a minute, and yes, you can spare a minute for this.

NINE 40 hour work weeks! Isn’t that AMAZING? Imagine what you could learn and earn and burn during that kind of extra time? The hobbies you could master, the weight you could lose, the information you could absorb, the recipes you could make, the dreams you could nourish and pursue!

So go out there. It’s become a cliche, but some cliches are good. CARPE DIEM! Seize the day! And all the hours in it! No one EVER has had more than 24 hours in their day.

Many have created greatness in that time frame.

You will be next.

So now, if you will excuse me. There is much to be done.
